Office Hours Guide

Learn how to host and manage office hours with your students and enterprise clients.

Instructions

Step 1: Go to “Office Hours” in your dashboard.

Step 2: Connect your Zoom account so you can host sessions directly through Phlare.

Step 3: Set the date, time, price, number of seats available and duration for your session.

Step 4: When a student books a timeslot, the session link is automatically emailed to both of you.

Step 5: When your office hour begins, join using the link sent to your email.

Tips for running effective office hours

  • Open with a brief agenda so students know what to expect.
  • Leave space for Q&A so students can bring their own challenges.
  • Use screen sharing and examples to make your explanations more concrete.
  • Encourage participation by calling on students or asking them to demonstrate what they are working on.

After the session, consider sending a quick recap or resources to reinforce key points.
